Hemoglobin‐platelet index as a prognostic factor in patients with peripheral T‐cell lymphoma

چکیده
Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a heterogeneous group of aggressive lymphomas with poor prognosis. The International Prognostic Index (IPI) and the for PTCL-unspecified (PIT) used to predict prognosis PTCL. hemoglobin-platelet index (HPI), based on anemia thrombocytopenia status, associated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. However, its significance in terms predicting PTCL has not been fully investigated. We herein retrospectively analyzed 100 patients newly diagnosed our department. At median follow-up 3.2 years, progression-free survival (PFS) overall (OS) was 0.72 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.56–1.2) years 2.0 CI: 1.5–4.7) respectively. Multivariate analysis revealed that elevated lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) hypoalbuminemia were independent adverse variables PFS. HPI showed significant predictive value both PFS OS. As new prognostic model comprising HPI, LDH, albumin, LA-HPI allowed stratification into four distinct risk subgroups: low (zero factors), low-intermediate (one high-intermediate (two or three high (four factors). OS differed significantly among by score. demonstrated better performance compared IPI, PIT, HPI. Our data utility LA-HPI, incorporating readily obtainable parameters, exhibited superior traditional indices.

Lymphopenia as a prognostic factor in patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified.
Peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified (PTCLU) is the most common T-cell lymphoma variant. The molecular heterogeneity of PTCLU is reflected by a diverse clinical course. Several prognostic factors have been studied, but further refinement is needed. The aim of our study was to retrospectively evaluate the presence of lymphopenia, defined as a lymphocyte count of<1000 cells/mm³, as a prognosti...
متن کاملComorbidity as an independent prognostic factor in elderly patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma
The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of comorbidities in the outcomes of patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) in a Chinese population. Fifty-six newly diagnosed PTCL patients aged >60 years were enrolled in our institution between April 2008 and August 2014. Medical record details including clinical parameters, pathological status, and treatment were reviewed. Pro...
متن کاملTHE VALUE OF PONDERAL INDEX AS A PROGNOSTIC FACTOR IN PREDICTING COMPLICATIONS IN TERM NEONATES
Rohrer's ponderal index in newborns (birth weight * 100/height3) has been used as an indicator of fetal growth status, especially to assess asymmetrical intrauterine growth retardation. Low ponderal index or disproportionate intrauterine growth retardation has higher neonatal morbidity and there are some specific guidelines in intrauterine growth retarded infants to control some of their pr...
متن کاملAcute Phase Reactants as a Prognostic Factor in Acute Stroke
Introduction: Elevated levels of CRP are present among patients at risk for further first-ever myocardial infarction and stroke. It has been shown that after ischemic stroke, increased levels of CRP are associated with unfavorable outcomes. Methods: From 120 patients admitted to the emergency unit of our hospital with the diagnosis of stroke CRP, D-dimer and ferritin level was measured and the ...
متن کاملRelationship between demographic and clinical factors with electrocardiography deviation as a prognostic factor in acute coronary syndrome patients
Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is one of the causes of disability and death. Levels of Uric acid, blood glucose, and dyslipidemia are the risk factors for the disease, but their role in electrocardiographic changes has not been studied. Based on this, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between some demographic and clinical characteristics with electrocardiographic chang...
